Tradient ships an in-house paper broker on every plan, including Starter. From a Radar result you can preview and fill a simulated multi-leg order against a paper balance, then track P&L in Portfolio — without connecting a live brokerage.
Paper vs ToS paste vs live
- Tradient Paper — simulated fills inside Tradient. Positions, buying power, and history stay in your account. Feeds the calibration dashboard when you use auto-paper or close trials.
- Copy ToS ticket — clipboard string for Thinkorswim (or journaling). Nothing fills inside Tradient. See ToS format.
- Live SnapTrade — real broker preview/confirm. Trader gets 1 live connection; Pro is unlimited. See Connecting your broker.
How to paper a scan result
- 1
Run a scan
From Describe, Library, Saved, or Focus, pick a result you like. Expand the row or open Focus for the full P&L profile.
- 2
Preview the order
Choose Place trade(or the paper path in the order modal) and select your Tradient Paper account if you also have a live broker connected. You’ll see estimated credit/debit and collateral.
- 3
Confirm the fill
Confirm to book a simulated fill. Portfolio updates with the new position; buying power is reserved for defined-risk structures the same way the live path checks collateral.
- 4
Manage and close
Close or adjust from Portfolio when you’re done. Closed paper trials show up in History and, when they originated from scored scans, in calibration buckets.
What paper is good for
- Learning strategies without capital at risk.
- Stress-testing the Tradient Score against your own fills.
- Feeding the auto paper daemon (Trader+) so the system can grade itself overnight.
