1. Who we are
“Tradient,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of tradient.netand the associated software service (the “Service”). “You” and “your” refer to the individual or legal entity using the Service. If you are using Tradient on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. What the Service does
Tradient is a software tool for retail and semi-professional traders that provides:
- An options scanner that ranks trade ideas across configurable ticker universes and strategies.
- A paper-trading broker for simulating trades without risking real capital.
- A live-broker integration (via SnapTrade) that can read your positions and, with explicit confirmation, route orders to your broker.
- A trade journal, calibration dashboard, and Monte Carlo analyzer.
The Service is provided on a software-as-a-service basis. It is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or custodian. See the Risk Disclaimer for the full treatment.
3. Your account
To use most features you must create an account with a valid email address. You may log in via password, magic link, or a WebAuthn passkey. You are responsible for:
- The security of your account credentials and passkeys.
- All activity that occurs under your account, including any orders routed to a linked broker.
- Providing accurate information and keeping your contact email up to date so we can reach you for security notices.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are in a region where derivatives trading is restricted, it is your responsibility to comply with local law. Tradient does not solicit users in jurisdictions where the Service would be unlawful.
4. Plans, payments, and cancellation
Tradient offers free and paid plans. Current pricing is published at /plans. By subscribing to a paid plan you authorize us (and our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Billing cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout (monthly or annually).
- Cancellation. You can cancel any time from your account billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. We do not issue refunds for partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@tradient.net within 14 days and we will review in good faith.
- Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice to the email on file. Price changes do not apply retroactively to prepaid terms.
- Taxes. Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any sales, use, VAT, or similar taxes arising from your use of the Service.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise bulk-export data from the Service without written permission. Market data licenses from our vendors do not permit redistribution.
- Resell, sublicense, white-label, or publish Tradient output (scan results, scores, signals) as your own product or newsletter without a commercial agreement.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code beyond what is explicitly published.
- Use the Service to manipulate markets, front-run other users, or engage in any conduct that would violate securities law.
- Share your account credentials or allow multiple people to use a single-user plan. Team plans are available via sales@tradient.net.
- Abuse the magic-link, registration, or password-reset endpoints (rate limits apply; automated abuse may result in permanent bans).
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written consent. Responsible disclosure contact: security@tradient.net.
6. Third-party integrations
The Service depends on and integrates with third-party providers, including Polygon.io (market data), Stripe (payments), SnapTrade (broker connectivity), and Amazon Web Services (SES) (transactional email). Your use of features that depend on these providers is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes in behavior of third-party services.
7. Your content and feedback
You retain ownership of any data you input into Tradient (trade journal entries, saved scans, notes, watchlists, strategy templates). You grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and back up that content solely to operate and improve the Service. We will not sell your content or use it to train unrelated machine-learning models.
If you send us feedback, bug reports, or feature requests, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback without obligation or compensation to you.
8. Intellectual property
Tradient, the Tradient name, the Tradient Score, the platform source code, the UI design, the scanner ranking methodology, and all associated trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. No rights are granted to you except the limited right to use the Service as described in these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the scanner results, Greeks, or scores are accurate, timely, or complete. See the Risk Disclaimer.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- In no event will Tradient, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost trading opportunities, lost data, or business interruption — arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Tradient's aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Tradient in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above may not apply to you in full.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tradient and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation, or (d) your trading decisions, whether or not they were informed by Tradient's output.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from the settings page or by emailing support@tradient.net. We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create a risk or legal exposure for Tradient. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately and we may delete your account data after a reasonable grace period, subject to our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address on file) or by a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information. You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action.
15. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Risk Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tradient with respect to the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
